Princess Grace Kelly’s granddaughter announced she is joining the cast of the award-winning series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon. Page Sixconfirmed that Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the oldest daughter of Prince Albert II of Monaco, has landed a spot on the series.
The outlet reports that Grimaldi Instagrammed a photo of herself rocking a 1950s-inspired costume, hinting that she’s joined the show. “And that’s a wrap . . . for now. Thank you for a MARVELOUS first experience,” she captioned the image, according to the outlet.
Understandably, details surrounding Grimaldi’s exact role were not revealed, but, she did tell the publication that she “had a great time” on set.
Although she deleted her initial Insta, the 27-year-old alumna of Fordham University did leave up a precious IG post in honor of her grandmothers. “In light of recent acting work, I couldn’t help but walk down memory lane and draw inspiration from my beautiful Grandmothers Grace and Jean! Miss and love you both ❤️!,” she captioned the post.
In 2015, Grimaldi landed her first-ever interview with Harper’s BAZAAR. At the time, she told the magazine she was ready to “step out and share” her story with the world. The rising actress also revealed a touching moment when she felt a genuine relationship with Princess Grace.
“One of my first and fondest memories involving my grandmother was watching High Society. It was the first time I realized we had a connection. I’m passionate about acting, singing, and dancing,” She previously told BAZAAR. “I saw that in her in this movie. It was a real goose-bumps moment for me.”
The exact premiere date Mrs. Maisel’s next season has not been publicly announced yet, but a role on the award-winning series could be the catalyst Grimaldi needs to become a big star like her late grandmother.
