It shows just how close the dems are to outright collapse.
Just a few days ago, the liberal media claimed triumph, as dem senators, notably including the left-wing ‘squad’, voted to confirm Pelosi for yet another term as speaker for the House of Representatives.
You might think that shows a more united democrat party than ever, with 15 dems having rejected Pelosi back in 2018…
Not at all – it shows just how completely out of tune the party is with its voters.
Just look at Pelosi’s approval ratings. Not only do the majority of Americans want nothing to do with Pelosi – even the average dem voter doesn’t like her.
In fact, many hoped and expected Pelosi’s bid for speaker to collapse, forcing a more intense set of voting.
Instead, the party just fell in line, with practically no one willing to oppose Pelosi – even those who she (and the dem party machinery) desperately tried to vote out.
The fact is, while dem voters are used to their representatives betraying them, they’re also used to writing everything off as ‘better than the alternative’… telling themselves that some day, their leaders will live up to the values they claim to uphold.
But it’s becoming clearer and clearer to everyone that the dems don’t really want to help. Despite Obama’s vast majority back in 2008, the dems kept making excuses for why he didn’t follow through on any of his promises.
Even after seeing President Trump doing practically everything he and his voters wanted, they’re going to keep on pretending that they don’t have the power to do anything…
So when dems roll over for Pelosi, it’s about sending a message – “we don’t care what you think”.
That’s been the message for decades, but it’s getting clearer and clearer each year – and it spells absolute disaster for a democrat party unable to maintain support from the voters they take for granted.
