A White House Christmas Looks A Little Different This Year

This year, the White House has decided to scale down on the number of Christmas parties they will be hosting – because of the pandemic.

In a statement released last week, Jill Biden announced that “Anyone who knows the Bidens knows how much they enjoy hosting and celebrating the holidays. In the coming days, we will host a limited number of Holiday Open Houses, inviting guests to see the Christmas decorations in person at the White House.”

Instead of the usual dozens of receptions, parties, and other events the president and first lady would typically host, they decided to limit their events to fewer open-house-style viewings of the White House’s Christmas decorations through self-guided tours.

Naturally, people have taken to Twitter to question the design choices made by Jill Biden, comparing her holiday decorations to the previous FLOTUS Melania Trump.

Jill Biden has claimed that her decorations are inspired by acts of kindness and hope, but in all honesty, they seem to be somewhat lackluster and simple, especially compared to the wildly dramatic displays Melania Trump has put together.

This is the country’s second holiday season during the pandemic, and it doesn’t seem like the Biden Administration is too keen on spreading the holiday cheer in the usual way because of it.

Last year, President Trump hosted almost 20-holiday parties in the White House, despite the concerns of COVID; he ensured the public that they were following proper safety measures at the time.

If Trump can host a gathering safely during the HEIGHT of the pandemic, then what’s stopping Biden from doing the same now that the country is safer and mostly vaccinated?

Does Biden even want America to return to normalcy?

There are reports from former Secret Service agents that during the Clinton White House, Hillary had them adding ornaments to the tree that were frankly pornographic in nature. How she thought that would not get out is beyond me. Now she wants to be not First Lady, but President Clinton. Eight years of her in the White House was more than enough.
