The FDA has granted full approval to the Pfizer vaccine, the first among others like Moderna and Johnson & Johnson – that were granted emergency-use authorization back in December – to receive official validation.
The two-dose vaccine has been approved for use in people above the age of 16. More than 204 million people in the US have received the vaccine since it was authorized, and with the FDA’s approval, critics are hopeful that this will encourage anti-vaxxers to consider getting vaccinated.
In light of the surging Delta variant, the approval of the Pfizer vaccine provides a glimmer of hope to extinguish vaccine hesitancy among American citizens.
U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s acting commissioner Janet Woodcock has the same positive thoughts. “While millions of people have already safely received COVID-19 vaccines, we recognize that for some, the FDA approval of a vaccine may now instill additional confidence to get vaccinated.”
Biden has also been expressive about pushing the vaccine on Americans post-approval. “If you’re one of the millions of Americans who said that they will not get the shot until it has full and final approval of the FDA, it has now happened. The moment you’ve been waiting for is here. It’s time for you to go get your vaccination. Get it today.”
The approval of the Pfizer vaccine has become a gateway for the Biden Administration and federal government to abuse their authority and mandate vaccinations among businesses and other public environments.
In a recent statement, Biden encouraged businesses to require vaccinations among employees.
“If you’re a business leader, a non-profit leader, a state or local leader, who has been waiting for full FDA approval to require vaccinations, I call on you now to do that… do what I did last month, requiring employees to get vaccinated or face strict requirements.”
The Biden administration has since rolled out vaccine requirements among federal workers, members of the armed forces, and federal medical facilities. The pentagon is just one among many that are going to require all employees to be vaccinated.
Biden has also implemented plans to have the entirety of the military vaccinated as well. He plans to make vaccination a requirement for all incoming military service members by mid-September…
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is now going to be called Comirnaty and will continue to be available in addition to Biden’s plan to begin giving out booster shots starting next month to those who had their final dose at least 8 months ago.
