Border Patrol Agents in Del Rio Hit Migrants With Whips, Dems Outraged

Border Patrol agents in Del Rio, Texas have been sent to desk duty after photos went viral of them using their “Whips” while on horseback to block Haitian migrants from entering the U.S. 

It has become a massive dem controversy over whether the claims were false; the photographer behind the images said the pictures he took are being misconstrued and he never saw anyone being whipped, despite what the liberals are saying. 

Major dem leaders and the liberal media are up in arms against these photos, claiming that they show the border patrol agents using “whips ” to corral the Haitians trying to cross the border. 

Critics have a different view and back up Paul Ratje, – the photographer in question – who says the agents were clearly holding reins. “I’ve never seen them whip anyone,” Ratje said in a response to an NBC affiliate in El Paso, Texas. “He was swinging it, but it can be misconstrued when you’re looking at the picture.” 

The White House and most leftist dem leaders are outraged about these photos; despite the truth behind the images, the story is being re-woven to fit the dems needs. Since the exaggerated news broke out and reached the White House, they have since ordered an investigation into the matter.

Biden has announced that Border Patrol in the Del Rio sector is prohibited from using Horses, and Jen Psaki also got up in front of the mainstream media in a press briefing to give her two cents and weave this narrative further. 

She noted that the images – some of which depict a border patrol agent grabbing a migrant by his shirt – are “horrible and horrific”, and that the investigation is ongoing.

All the liberal dems are simply making something out of nothing here. There are no conclusive images of any migrants actually being whipped, and the photographer himself even backs up this claim.

Yet the dems will do anything they can to shift the conversation in the media away from all the wrong decisions they’ve made, and to paint the left to look like saviors.  

Even Homeland Security officials are cowering under this false story. Alejandro Mayorkas – a Homeland Security Secretary – initially backed the agents and the photographer, but after the exaggerated outrage that out-poured from the White House, he quickly changed his tune to side with the left in order to save his skin.

“The facts will drive the actions that we take,” he said. “We ourselves will pull no punches and we need to conduct this investigation thoroughly, but very quickly. It will be completed in days, if not weeks.”

The dems continued to press forwards with their story, taking to social media to spread their narrative.

The images of inhumane treatment of Haitian migrants by Border Patrol—including the use of whips—are unacceptable

They are fleeing violence and natural disaster and seeking protection in our country

Some are even taking it to drastic measures, likening this situation to slavery… 

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., flatly accused the agents of whipping migrants and said the situation was “worse than what we witnessed in slavery.”

Despite not actually having evidence, these claims are running like a wildfire in the liberal media. What they don’t want to tell you is that these agents are using long reins – not whips – which are important for properly controlling the horses in difficult terrain. 

Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz also noted that the patrol doesn’t know who is a smuggler and who is a migrant. Both Ortiz and Mayorkas were defending the image and situation clearly depicted in the controversial photos, and just days later Mayorkas was quick to change his tune to save his skin…

“I was horrified by what I saw,” Mayorkas told CNN. “I’m going to let the investigation run its course. But the pictures that I observed troubled me profoundly. That defies all of the values that we seek to instill in our people.”
