Gov. Ron DeSantis is showing leadership on immigration issues. He’s taken a bold stance to ensure the security of our country.
DeSantis launched multiple initiatives to improve access to information on immigration programs.
Ultimately, his efforts will provide positive outcomes for his state and immigrants while… ensuring local state authority is respected throughout the process.
DeSantis Makes More Efforts on Immigration
DeSantis signed an executive order activating the National Guard to assist with a surge in migrants arriving in the state… primarily from Cuba and other Caribbean nations.
The order also directs state law enforcement agencies and other state agencies… to support local governments in responding to this influx.
“As the negative impacts of Biden’s lawless immigration policies continue unabated… the burden of the Biden administration’s failure falls on local law enforcement. [Especially those] who lack the resources to deal with the crisis,” DeSantis said. “That is why I am activating the National Guard and directing state resources. [This is aimed] to help alleviate the strain on local resources. We will support our communities when Biden ignores his legal responsibilities.”
The National Guard deployed their air assets. This includes airplanes and helicopters and bolsters marine patrols for water interdictions.
Over 8,000 migrants have been encountered by federal, state, and local law enforcement… since August 2022 off the coast of Florida alone.
Biden announced a new policy allowing 30,000 individuals per month from Haiti, Cuba, and Nicaragua into America’s land border with Mexico… which is expected to significantly reduce illegal crossings at that border.
Liberal Group Sues DeSantis Over Recent Migrant Flights
Alianza Americas is a George Soros-backed immigration nonprofit that advocates for open borders. This group is suing Gov. DeSantis for flying migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
They insist that DeSantis violated federal disclosure law… by not producing its 2021 990 Form within 30 days of a written request.
In September 2020, Alianza sued DeSantis. It happened after DeSantis decided to send Venezuelan migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
Meanwhile, the organization could be fined up to $10,000 a day and face personal penalties of $1,000 if found in violation…
Alianza received $8.5 million from the Department of Health and Human Services in 2021. This activity raised concerns about the potentially illegal use of grant money for lobbying purposes.
The Chicago GOP visited the address listed on Alianza’s latest public tax forms. Still, neighbors said that the organization’s staff no longer sees the office.
Chicago GOP spokesman Jeff Fielder shared his thoughts about the matter. He said, “I guess it’s not surprising that they operate like a shadow organization when it would seem that they are repeatedly disregarding the rules, evading investigation… while likely breaching a series of laws designed to maintain the sovereignty of the US.”
From the looks of it, the liberal group that sues DeSantis is probably involved in something illegal… since they’re receiving millions of taxpayer money.
