FARC is the Spanish acronym for Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia. The organization was established in 1964. They’re one of Colombia’s most influential and notorious rebel groups. The US and the European Union listed FARC as a “terrorist group” in 1997; Colombian officials also refer to the group as “a terrorist organization” or a “criminal band.” …
