The energy crisis is continuing to get worse under Joe Biden. We need a leader who understands the importance of energy independence and will take the necessary steps to solve this crisis.
Fuel prices are through the roof, and there’s no end. Biden said he would alleviate the energy crisis, but there has not been any positive change since he took office. We can’t afford to keep going down this path.
OPEC Announces Oil Cuts
In March, Biden promised to release 1 million barrels of oil daily. This is to counter high gas prices, inflation, and disruption caused by the war in Ukraine.
However, this is just another empty promise…
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) recently announced that it would cut oil production by 2 million barrels daily.
The US Oil & Gas Association mocked Biden for his incompetence. They tweeted, “OPEC says no, SPR options all but gone… The WH has one option left, and it is the one option they should have never turned away from in the first place – the US-based oil and gas industry. Life comes at you pretty fast…”
Moreover, Clearview energy partner Kevin Book explained how OPEC’s cut led to higher gas prices.
He emphasized that a cut in OPEC production would mean a quarter-gallon increase at the pump. Book said, “Higher prices. OPEC is a big supplier to the market. They’ve decided they’re going to cut. Some of the barrels are cutting and aren’t being produced, so they said 2 million barrels per day less. It’s probably closer to about 950,000 barrels per day, but translate that to what it means in your gas tank. It’s about a quarter a gallon.”
Biden Mocked for Mismanaging Oil Reserves
Fox reporter Jesse Watters also slammed Biden’s incompetence… calling him an economic illiterate.
He said, “He’s a reckless economic illiterate, and he’s going to cause a lot of pain to the American people because we’re going to need those reserves full at some point, and before then, we’re going to have to buy back and restock at about $100 a barrel. And what do you think that will do to the world price of oil? He doesn’t understand the world sets it. He thinks Fred, who owns the gas station at the corner, sets the oil price. If you’re not going to unleash American energy, you must butter up the Saudis. And so far, he’s cozied up to their biggest enemy, the Iranians.”
Then he added, “He doesn’t even send them arms packages as most presidents do. He called them. He called the crown prince a killer and tried to ostracize them. And he’s always talking about the Green New Deal, the Green New Deal. You need more finesse when everybody’s getting slammed at the pump.”
Our oil reserve is the lowest it has been since the 1980s… which was during a time when there was war in Europe. It’s one wrong decision after another. Biden has done nothing in the last two years for our energy industry.
