The battle between the Republicans and Big Tech has been a long-standing battle for quite some time. Now, we’re finally seeing the demo-rats and Big Tech fight like little kids.
Biden turned Facebook into a scapegoat, blaming the tech giant for slowing down the US vaccine rates last July. He believes that the social media platform caused major misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccines.
After seeing his goal to have 70% of Americans partially vaccinated by July slip away… Biden immediately put the blame on Facebook instead of his own team.
“They’re killing people. Look, the only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated.” Biden told the reporters at the White House when asked about the misinformation.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki also said that Facebook was not doing enough to stop the spread of misinformation on COVID.
The White House made a suggestion to Facebook to address the spread of misinformation… of removing 12 people who they believe were responsible for almost 65 percent of misinformation.
Biden officials who had taken concerns about the vaccine misinformation on Facebook concluded that:
- The Big Tech company wasn’t taking the COVID issue seriously
- They are purposely hiding something from the Americans
The dems claim that Facebook isn’t doing enough to censor posts that contain misinformation about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Ironically, this Big Tech company does a great job of censoring our conservative voice on their rotten platform…
In response to Biden’s comment, Facebook spokesperson Dani Lever shared her thoughts, “We will not be distracted by accusations which aren’t supported by the facts.”
Then she added, “The fact is that more than 2 billion people have viewed authoritative information about COVID-19 and vaccines on Facebook, which is more than any other place on the internet. More than 3.3 million Americans have also used our vaccine finder tool to find out where and how to get a vaccine. The facts show that Facebook is helping save lives. Period.”
Facebook’s VP of Integrity also wrote his statement against Biden’s irrational decision. He said, “At a time when COVID-19 cases are rising in America, the Biden administration has chosen to blame a handful of American social media companies. While social media plays an important role in society, it is clear that we need a whole of society approach to end this pandemic.”
Biden backed down from his claim after Facebook responded. He got rattled and immediately changed his tone into having a less threatening demeanor.
So then who’s to blame here? It seems like Biden doesn’t even know the answer himself… Likely because he is largely at fault and can’t be bothered to admit it.
Instead of blaming the Big Tech company like he did before… he changed his statement and blamed the 12 people that the White House believes are the main suspects for misinformation.
Biden said in an interview on CNN, “Facebook isn’t killing people. These 12 people are out there giving misinformation. Anyone listening to it is getting hurt by it. It’s killing people. It’s bad information.”
Then he added, “My hope is that Facebook, instead of taking it personally… [I hope] that they would do something about the misinformation, the outrageous misinformation about the vaccine. That’s what I meant.”
Biden being a hypocrite and Big Tech censoring conservative voices is already bad enough.
But having a leader who is a coward and easily backs down from his own words is even far worse. He doesn’t take responsibility for his own incompetence… but blames it on others.
No wonder other countries like Russia are looking down on our country. Our “American Pride” continues to fall under Biden’s rule…
