Is China Building More Than Nuclear Silos?

China is building new missile silos in its western desert. Satellite footage shows an alarming development that signals an “increase in their country’s nuclear capabilities.” 

Our US military and analysts described China’s improved nuclear field as a “major expansion.” Is this going to be another threat for the US?

Researchers at the Federation of American Scientists estimate that China has about 250 underground missile silos under construction. They used satellite imagery to identify a new field being built in western China. That was the second one reported this summer.

Last June, researchers at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies identified another field under construction in a neighboring province.

The US Strategic Command – a part of the Department of Defense responsible for strategic deterrence – also voiced their concern with China’s move. They said, “This is the second time in two months the public has discovered what we have been saying all along about the growing threat the world faces and the veil of secrecy that surrounds it.”

Is China preparing its defenses because of the strained relationship they have with America? We’ve seen how the twisted administration has tarnished our “American Pride” time and time again through political relations with other countries like Russia and China.

Nuclear expert Jeffery Luis shared his thoughts on why he thinks China is preparing all these missile silos. He said, “We believe China is expanding its nuclear forces in part to maintain a deterrent that can survive a US first strike in sufficient numbers to defeat US missile defenses.”

James Acton, a co-director of the nuclear policy program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, also had the same insight. He said, “…understand that to a large extent China’s nuclear modernization program may be motivated by concern about the US. China has been quite open that it worries the US might attack its nuclear forces preemptively in a conflict.”

John Culver, a retired CIA analyst on East Asian affairs, also questioned the closeness of the constructed building silos in a Tweet. He mentioned that China could use it as a “counterforce against adversaries.”

This is a weird way to build what the article assesses are ICBM silos. Grouped so closely they situationally almost dare an adversary to think about counterforce attack. Would like to hear what nuke strategists think.

China is an opposing force and they are showing their power over us and Biden… who isn’t doing anything about the situation right now. Biden’s incompetence only contributes to building more tension in our relationship with China.

Once again, Biden ruins our country as he continues to tarnish our “American Pride” and our connection with other countries.
