President Donald Trump has always had a love-hate relationship with social media companies. We remember how Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube banned our president.
A few months ago, our president created his own social media platform, Truth Social. The platform is growing in popularity amongst Trump supporters. Especially those who are looking for an alternative to mainstream social media sites. As of now, Trump has 3.3 million followers on Truth Social.
Our president has always been an outspoken critic of traditional social media platforms… so it’s no surprise that he would create his own. Now, Trump has a direct way to communicate with his supporters without getting filtered.
The platform is still in its early stages. Yet, it’s already garnered a loyal following of conservatives. We still don’t know if Truth Social will be able to compete with the existing social media giants in the future. Trump has been highly critical of social media companies always censoring conservative voices.
Whether or not Truth Social will be successful remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure: Donald Trump is determined to change the way we consume information.
Trump Has No Intention to Return to Twitter
We remember Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion. The social media platform went for a quick revamp because of what Musk did.
Musk was also vocal that we won’t be voting for the left anymore in the upcoming elections. The billionaire said that he would support Republicans instead. Though he also mentioned he would prefer a “more moderate” third-party alternative.
Despite the Twitter buyout and Musk’s support for Republicans… Trump still decided not to go back on Twitter.
Trump believes that Musk can make Twitter better and he wants to focus on Truth Social. He said, “I am not going on Twitter. I am going to stay on TRUTH. I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it, and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.”
Then he added, “This is a platform for my voice. TRUTH is a platform for my voice and for my supporters. But I want everybody to come over to TRUTH—conservatives, liberals, whatever.”
Truth Social Grows Slowly
Dem California Gov. Gavin Newsom decided to join Trump’s Truth Social. He intends to call out “Republican lies.” Although Newsom didn’t make the friendliest approach… this still gives Truth Social more exposure.
Newsom shared his thoughts in a video post. He said, “I know we’re all on this platform in search of the truth.”
Then he opened up about the red state murder issue. He added, “But the truth is I’ve not been able to find a simple explanation for the fact that we have a red state murder problem.”
There’s a big chance that the dem governor thinks that Truth Social is relevant… that’s why he signed up.

Despite Newsom’s unfriendly manner, Trump Media and Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes welcomed the dem governor to Truth Social. He wrote, “Please welcome the Governor of California @realgovnewsom40 to Truth Social! Welcome to freedom, Governor thank you for joining Truth Social!”
Truth Social is doing good so far. But there may be a time when Apple and Google would ban the application from their respective app stores. There needs to be a way to download it outside of these tech tyrant-controlled stores if this were to happen. Let’s hope that Truth Social would grow without the getting politicized by the Big Tech and far-left.
Understanding why they let Newsom join. They will point out his lies faster than he can speak the TRUTH! Who else control California? When every legislation is a DEMOCRAT!!! Or even foreign people who got into political to turn California into MEXICO!
