Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is determined to run to become the next House Speaker. However, we all know he’s a RINO (Republican in Name Only) who is up to no good.
Republican lawmakers are doing their best to stop the RINO from taking over.
Republicans Lawmakers Oppose McCarthy to Become House Speaker
Republicans of the House Freedom Caucus oppose McCarthy’s ascension to be the next House speaker.
Freedom Caucus lawmakers told Fox News that they want the demo-rat to start getting serious about concessions on these rules… or risk losing their support.
The House Freedom Caucus Chairman, Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, and Rep. Chip Roy of Texas led the GOP lawmakers. They outlined their demands in a letter circulated to colleagues.
“The American people send us to Washington to do what we said we would do — namely, to limit spending and fight to advance a conservative agenda,” the lawmakers wrote. “We must organize ourselves to ensure a ‘check’ on the swamp and reform the status quo.”
They added, “We believe these should form the basis of any conversation about our leadership and without regard to any one request, the totality of the requests must be addressed if we are to truly unite as a conference.”
Other members of the letter are:
- Rep. Dan Bishop of North Carolina
- Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona
- Rep. Andrew Clyde of Georgia
- Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee
- Rep. Eli Crane of Arizona
The lawmakers outlined their demands in a letter circulated to colleagues. It included a rule change to make it easier to remove the House speaker by allowing any lawmaker to offer a “motion to vacate the chair” at any point in time.
McCarthy, who is the GOP designee for House speaker, is not in a position to ignore the demands. The California Republican is already facing public opposition from five other GOP lawmakers in his bid to become speaker.
McCarthy’s office did not immediately return a request for comment on the letter…
A RINO or a Dem?
If Republicans can’t agree on a speaker… there’s a chance that Democrat Cheryl Johnson will be in charge of the new GOP majority.
Johnson is currently the clerk of the House. However, she will be replaced by a Republican when they take control in January.
So right now, we’re choosing between McCarthy, a RINO, or Johnson, a far-left…
On January 3, Johnson will preside over the House until a speaker is elected. If no clear winner is determined after one vote, the House must keep voting until a speaker is elected.
The winning candidate must secure the majority of those members casting ballots by name…
Republicans must get their house in order or be consigned to the political wilderness. If they can’t agree on who will lead them, how can they lead the country?
We all know that McCarthy is not a qualified leader. He’s only interested in keeping everything in place… not re-establishing and protecting Republican values.
When will he focus on Crime, Energy, the Border, and Inflation as promised to the American People? McCarthy needs to swallow his pride, step back and let a true leader step forward.
I’m sick and tired of all of them personally.
[…] After all the disputes from last year… our Republican leaders decided to support their fellow conservatives. They have put all their differences aside and acted as one party… […]
