DeSantis Suspends State Attorney for Vowing Not to Prosecute Abortions

Governor Ron DeSantis continues to make Florida great. He is a strong conservative leader constantly working to improve the state. We are truly fortunate to have him as a leader because he is someone who always puts the needs of Floridians first.

DeSantis is an excellent example of how conservatives can be successful. Thanks to his leadership, Florida is on the right track! So far, we’ve seen how he:

The patriot leader is fighting to eliminate abortion in the state of Florida. DeSantis is angry about the issue and is determined to see abortions stopped. He has made progress by removing a state attorney who vowed not to prosecute abortions.

Gov. DeSantis Removes State Attorney Who Supports Abortion

Desantis suspended a county attorney who vowed not to enforce state laws. This involves acts of prosecuting women seeking an abortion. As well as doctors who perform these procedures on women.

During a press conference, the patriot leader announced to remove Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren. DeSantis said, “We don’t elect people in one part of the state to have veto power over what the entire state decides. The Constitution of Florida has vested the veto power in the governor… not in individual state attorneys.”

Then he added, “When you violate your oath of office, and you make yourself above the law, you have violated your duty. You have neglected your duty, and you are displaying a lack of competence to perform those duties. And so, today, we are suspending State Attorney Andrew Warren effective immediately.”

After seeing prosecutors like Warren, DeSantis ensured this wouldn’t happen again in Florida.

Florida Prosecutor to Fight Gov. DeSantis Suspension

Meanwhile, Warren made it clear that he would fight DeSantis’ suspension.

The state attorney was furious at DeSantis’s verdict. He said, “I’m not going down without a fight. I refuse to let this man trample on your freedoms to speak your mind, to make your own health care decisions, and to have your vote count.”

Then he added, “I swore to uphold the Constitution, and that’s exactly what I’ve done. DeSantis is trying to take away my job for doing my job.”

Florida’s new abortion restrictions came to effect on July 1. It remains under court challenge by abortion providers and allies. The law prohibits abortions after 15 weeks… with exceptions if the procedure is necessary to save the pregnant woman’s life.

Whatever happens, our patriots are here to support DeSantis. We believe that he is in the right here because he’s saving children’s lives.
